Latest Baby Pics

Today we got to see our little munchkin again. The appointment went so fast, but she talked us through every step. She showed us that for sure we are having a little girl pointing out the parts to verify, and we couldn't be happier. We got to see her little brain, and her legs, her spine, and her tummy and all sorts of stuff. The tech told us she weighs about 2 pounds right now and is growing normally. Her heart was one of the best parts. We saw more than just a little flutter of light. We could actually see the shape of her little heart. It was sooooo exciting!!! And her heartbeat was normal at 141.

Here are the 2 pics she gave us today. On the left we got a profile of her with her hand up by her face. On the right we got a facial shot. So precious! You can clearly see her eyes nose and mouth, and all those little lines below are her ribs. Tracy feels her moving all the time. In the movies the other day we both felt a great big kick, one of the few times Peter has felt her. She moves around all the time, and as the months go on I'm sure we will both feel her moving a lot more.

How your baby's growing:

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

See what your baby looks like this week.

Mom & Dad Z.

We had Tracy's parents over for dinner on Saturday. We spent a good portion of the afternoon preparing the blue cheese and ranch dressings, as well as the salsa, and cocktail and tarter sauces. Once again the thought to break out the camera didn't cross our minds, so we have no photo evidence of this visit. We had a great dinner of Salmon, shrimp, salad, and garlic bread and had a lot of fun playing Uno Attack. If you've never played, instead of drawing cards from the deck, you hit a button and they are spewed at you. You never know how many you'll get. It's loads of fun!

Faith and Joseph

Faith and Joseph came to CA for a visit and we're so glad they were able to come to our home for and evening while they are here.We had a great time just hanging out and playing games.

At this point Faith and Tracy are already bankrupt and Joseph isn't far behind. Actually he really made Peter work hard for every last penny. He wasn't going down with out a fight.

Tracy handing over her very last property, and the first to go bankrupt in this game. She had a rough start though, and ended up in jail on her very first turn. The two of us may just need to have a rematch. Let's see if it was all just beginners luck.

Peter "sitting on the field of victory, enjoying a few well earned spoils". He really took us all for a run for the money. I knew this game could take a while...but it's like licking to the center of a tootsie pop. I don't think either of us had ever played the game all the way out. I think we figured it took us 4 + hrs to get though it all, but we sure had fun.

Pausing for a pose.

Cruising on back to Ventura County. Thanks for coming guys. Hope you have a safe journey and y'all come back now ya hear.

Church Picnic

Sunday evening was our church picnic. They provided the bounce house, the slip 'n slide and the fried chicken. It smelled so good walking over from the parking lot. We really enjoyed this time of fellowship with our church family.

Looks like all the kids are having a lot of fun over there.

Friends from chruch that we sat with durring dinner. Tracy and Gail (left) are in choir together, and it was nice to meet her husband Joe, and their friend Lynae.
