Tea Time

Mother's Day tea, this year, was in the beautiful setting of Jan's backyard.

Erin and her mom Linda.

We each pitched in to bring either finger sandwiches, or some other yummy pastry. Amy made the delicious teas, and Stephanie brought some scones that were really tasty, made by my brother Jon.

Several years ago at one of our teas in a flower shop in Glendora, my mom purchased a tea journal that we each write in every year. It's fun to go back and read what everyone writes from year to year, and to see who was there too.

Ellie, Mom, and Grandma Pat. There seems to be a generation missing here. I thought I got a picture with me in it, but I guess not. Ellie is growing into such a little lady.

Oh, there I am.

Amy and her daughter Miranda.

We had a wonderful time of relaxation and fellowship, and it was all topped off with delightful parfaits prepared by our gracious host.

May Day

Peter came home from work and surprised me with some beautiful flowers.

When he got home, he rang the doorbell, and was standing out there with the flowers. It's a tradition the Holladay family has had for years. Usually it's the first thing in the morning, but it was nice that he surprised me after work. Totally unexpected, and very sweet.
