Elfing

Everybody gets an elf.

Each new member of the family gets an elf on the Christmas tree at Mom and Pop's. Tracy got her's in '07 when we got married and this year was Grace's turn.

This year we put 3 new elves on the tree, for Grace, Luke and Matthew. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we are up to 25 elves now.

Another tradition on elfing night, is that we have hot apple cider, and Pop hands out ornaments to all the grandkids.

After Thanksgiving Sydney and Spencer dropped by for a visit.

We laid Grace down on the floor to play by herself, while the adults chatted.

Grace is nearly a month old here.

Thanksgiving '09

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Mom and Pop's house up in Fillmore. Faith's birthday was on Thanksgiving this year, so we got to celebrate that with her too.

Tracy's turn to hold both the new arrivals. Wow! Luke weighs a lot more and is 2 1/2 weeks younger. He was born bigger too though.

With such a large family, we needed 2 turkeys. One was baked in the oven, and the other was cooked on the BBQ with the venison hind quarter pictured in the middle.

Nov 14th

Here we are at the Kraft's for Adam's b-day party. Spring was due to have Luke any day, so we weren't sure if this party would have to be postponed. Turned out he was late just like Grace, so the party went on as scheduled.
